About Me
I am a licensed childcare provider with over 20 years of experience working with children and at-risk youth. As a mother of five. I have also opened my heart and home as an RFA-approved foster parent and have adopted two beautiful daughters.
Throughout my career, I have dedicated myself to supporting vulnerable youth. I have supervised programs for Penny Lane and Hathaway-Sycamores and worked as a counselor at Phoenix House Lakeview Terrace. I am deeply committed to creating safe, supportive environment.
We believe that play is the work of the child. Children learn best when they are allowed to touch, manipulate, explore, and make discoveries. In their early years, children explore the world around them by using all their senses (touching, tasting, listening, smelling, and looking). As children are invited to approach the world around them, according to their own developmental level, they exhibit an attitude of self-confidence and positive self-esteem. We believe as children interact with developmentally appropriate toys (the tools of their work) and activities, they begin building a foundation upon which successful lifetime can be achieved.
